What does it mean for a nonprofit to be CRA aligned?
Each nonprofit on Community Qualifier has been reviewed by findCRA utilizing a dual evaluation process. Nonprofits are first evaluated by our proprietary algorithm, CRANIA, and then further validated by our CRA experts. When nonprofit passes both parts of this review, we create a nonprofit profile for them on Community Qualifier. From there, a nonprofit can claim their profile and add additional information including their programs & services, counties served, targeted clients and income groups and more.

Programs & Services info
Chronic Disease Prevention Program ( CDPP)
Our programs help educate the community about healthy habits to prevent chronic diseases from taking hold. The programs are provided for free, which allows us to help bridge the gap between doctor care and regular life. We believe that we have an opportunity to improve our collective health by reducing our risk for chronic disease and transforming health and wellness as the primary weapon in our fight against disease. By offering the Chronic Disease Prevention programs for free the YMCA will be offering greater access to health services to a broad range of people who would otherwise not have access.

Food Insecurity
One in five children doesn’t know where their next meal is coming from. As a leading nonprofit strengthening community through influencing the trajectory of kids’ lives, the Y’s job is in part to ensure they receive the meals they need to be healthy, active and well nourished. The Y recognizes all children deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential and nothing is more fundamental to their development than having consistent access to healthy meals. Youth come to the Y for a variety of reasons, and what they actually receive are fundamentals for healthy development. For those who may not know where their next meal will come from, the Y provides the nourishment they need (in spirit, mind and body).
