THE MISSION OF BCL OF TEXAS IS BUILDING STRONG COMMUNITIES. BCL OF TEXAS SUPPORTS TEXANS TO ACQUIRE WEALTH-BUILDING ASSETS, SUCH AS HOMEOWNERSHIP AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP, WITH THE FINANCIAL TOOLS AND EDUCATION NECESSARY TO BUILD PERSONAL NET WORTH. WITH AN EMPHASIS ON DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION, WE SERVE COMMUNITIES OF COLOR, WOMEN, VETERANS, RURAL COMMUNITIES, AND LOW AND MODERATE INCOME INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, AND SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS.

Economic Recovery Small Business Support
Supporting and guiding small businesses to access available federal SBA loan programs as part of the national COVID-19 economic stimulus. We also work on a number of other federal programs associated with ARPA funding, US Treasury, USDA Rural Development, EDA, and HUD.

Community Loan Center of Austin / Community Loan Center of Dallas
The Community Loan Center (CLC) was established in 2014 in order to offer low-interest, low-fee personal loans to employees of enrolled employers as an alternative to high-cost payday and auto title loans. As a CDFI and a licensed lender regulated by the Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner (OCCC) BCL offered the CLC program in Austin (Travis County) and Dallas (Dallas County) in partnership with community employers. We deploy approximately $5 million in capital annually to over 4500 Texas residents. We are always looking for new bank partners to support our commitment to provide access to capital.

BCL of Texas, as a NeighborWorks America organization is dedicated to helping Texans achieve homeownership, build their assets, and how to grow their personal net worth.
