What does it mean for a nonprofit to be CRA aligned?
Each nonprofit on Community Qualifier has been reviewed by findCRA utilizing a dual evaluation process. Nonprofits are first evaluated by our proprietary algorithm, CRANIA, and then further validated by our CRA experts. When nonprofit passes both parts of this review, we create a nonprofit profile for them on Community Qualifier. From there, a nonprofit can claim their profile and add additional information including their programs & services, counties served, targeted clients and income groups and more.

Programs & Services info
The Midland Interfaith Hospitality Network (MIHN)
We engage community volunteers in providing meals and hospitality to families that are homeless, as defined by the McKinney-Vento Act (same definition as the public schools use to define "homeless students"). Volunteer groups may take 1 - 4 weeks out of the year to provide meals and groceries for families.

Families Forward family transitional housing program
We own and operate 7 duplexes for family transitional housing, which families may reside in for up to 2 years. During that time, families work with a case manager on short-term objectives, to reach long-term goals. We are in need of volunteers to work with school-aged children as tutors and adults who are working toward their GED.

Families Onward Auto Loans
Many of our families come to us without a vehicle. Many have no savings, poor employment history, and/or low credit scores. Our FOAL program allows families to borrow money from us to purchase a vehicle (up to $7,500 (pre-covid limit)) or repair a vehicle they may own. We need funding for this program.

Financial Literacy
One of the major deficits we find with the families we serve, is that they possess a low level of financial literacy. We have parent trainings at least once month and this is an opportunity for persons from the community to volunteer to assist families to learn how to manage their money.
