Mission Statement info

THE MISSION OF THE FRIENDS OF THE WEBER-MORGAN CHILDREN'S JUSTICE CENTER (CJC) IS TO PROVIDE RESOURCES TO CREATE A CHILD-FRIENDLY, COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT TO REDUCE VICTIM TRAUMA DURING CHILD ABUSE INVESTIGATIONS. ADDITIONALLY, THE FRIENDS OF THE WEBER-MORGAN CJC RAISES, MANAGES, AND DISTRIBUTES THESE RESOURCES TO: 1. PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN A COMFORTABLE, FRIENDLY LOCATION FOR CHILD VICTIMS OF CRIME, PRIMARILY SEXUAL OR SEVERE PHYSICAL ABUSE, TO RECEIVE COORDINATED SERVICES DURING THE INVESTIGATIVE PROCESS. 2. SUPPORT APPROPRIATE INVESTIGATIVE TECHNIQUES AND FACILITATE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES AND COOPERATIVE PARTNERSHIPS FOR STAFF, BOARD, MULTI-DISCIPLINARY TEAMS (MDT) AND VOLUNTEERS OF THE WEBER-MORGAN CJC. 3. PROVIDE RESOURCES TO BENEFIT THE CJC AND ITS OPERATIONS UNAVAILABLE THROUGH THE STATE OF UTAH AND LOCAL COUNTY ENTITIES.
