THE MISSION OF EBA FUND IS TO INCREASE THE FLOW OF CAPITAL TO LMI ENTREPRENEURS AND BUSINESS OWNERS OF COLOR BY STRENGTHENING THE FINANCIAL POSITION OF CDFI MICROLENDERS THROUGH THE CREATION AND ONGOING DEVELOPMENT OF A SECONDARY MARKET FOR CDFI MICROLOANS. CDFI MICROLENDERS PLAY A PIVOTAL ROLE IN SERVING UNDER-FINANCED SMALL BUSINESSES, ESPECIALLY THOSE LED BY PEOPLE OF COLOR AND WOMEN. EBA FUND IS DRIVEN BY THREE KEY OBJECTIVES: HELP THE STRONGEST MICROLENDERS GROW, STRENGTHEN INCENTIVES FOR CDFIS TO ENTER THE MICROLENDING MARKET OR EXPAND THEIR MICROLENDING PORTFOLIOS, AND ENSURE THAT CDFI MICROLENDERS ARE POSITIONED TO STEP INTO THE CAPITAL GAPS CREATED DURING RECESSIONARY ENVIRONMENTS.
