HOMEBUYER PROGRAM AND PREPARATION
Lexington Habitat's Homebuyer Program supports low-income individuals on their path to homeownership. Through new construction and remolded homes, LHFH offers a wide variety of affordable housing opportunities throughout Fayette County. To qualify, homebuyers must demonstrate a substantial need for housing, the ability to repay their mortgage and a willingness to partner with LHFH. Each homebuyer must have satisfactory credit, a monthly income and total household income of less than 60% of the area median income. Through this program, homebuyers receive guidance, education and counseling as they work to build and become new homeowners.

CRITICAL HOME REPAIR
LHFH's Critical Home Repair program helps low-income homeowners make needed repairs, so they can live in safe, healthy and affordable homes. Critical Home Repair is part of Habitat's national efforts serving homeowners affected by age, disability or family circumstances who are struggling to maintain their homes. To qualify, homeowners must have income of less than 60% of the area median income and meet other criteria. LOVE YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD CLEAN-UP PROJECTS
LHFH's Love Your Neighborhood clean-up projects bring community volunteers together to focus on revitalization, beautification and safety in low-income neighborhoods. The street clean-up projects include clearing brush, trimming trees, litter removal and light exterior work in the community. By focusing on making the community clean and safe, homeowners build pride in their neighborhood. The program is available in neighborhoods throughout Fayette County, KY.
