Critical Home Repair Program
The critical home repair program provides low and no-payment loans to primarily older adult homeowners that due to credit and income, cannot qualify to refinance so that they can maintain their home. Most repair projects begin with a new roof, then a walk-in shower or other structural repairs. All loans require a lien placed on the property. Some funders request that the lien be a 5-year forgivable loan, while other funds will allow a fully amortized loan with low monthly payment.
