AFFORDABLE HOMEOWNERSHIP PROGRAM
To address Louisville’s pressing need for affordable housing, Habitat constructs homes throughout the city, primarily in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. Eligible LMI homebuyers participate in Habitat’s affordable homeownership program, which provides zero interest mortgages, as well as financial education and homebuyer support. Each year, hundreds of community volunteers support these affordable housing efforts.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT & HOME REPAIR
In an effort to increase neighborhood pride, preserve affordable housing stock and build demand within underserved, low-income neighborhoods, Habitat’s “Love Your Neighborhood” initiative focuses on community development. This program selects multiple homes and streets for exterior home repair, critical home repair and neighborhood beautification, including alley and vacant lot clean-up.
