What does it mean for a nonprofit to be CRA aligned?
Each nonprofit on Community Qualifier has been reviewed by findCRA utilizing a dual evaluation process. Nonprofits are first evaluated by our proprietary algorithm, CRANIA, and then further validated by our CRA experts. When nonprofit passes both parts of this review, we create a nonprofit profile for them on Community Qualifier. From there, a nonprofit can claim their profile and add additional information including their programs & services, counties served, targeted clients and income groups and more.

Programs & Services info
WEST LOUISVILLE NEW HOUSING DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
The GMeals on Wheels program provides a needed community service to low and moderate income seniors that are homebound and financially distressed in Jefferson County. This program provides home meal delivery to the seniors that are on the Meals on Wheels waiting list, who would otherwise not have access to meal delivery services. In 2016, this program provided 4,730 meals to 949 food insecure senior citizens, eliminating Jefferson County’s Meals on Wheels waiting list, the only county in Kentucky without a list. The program continues to meet this need in Jefferson County and hopes to expand in the future to address other hunger needs in the states.

THE U.S. VETERAN MEAL PROGRAM
KPI has deployed a new program after identifying an additional need in Louisville, Lexington, Elizabethtown and Fort Knox, Kentucky as well as Southern Indiana. Many military veterans are discharged from area hospitals or rehabilitation facilities and need a meal distribution service. The majority of individuals served by this program are financially distressed, medically fragile veterans that need the additional support this program provides to promote ongoing sustainability post release. This program is the first of its kind in the nation and seeks to meet this ever growing need through providing this important community service.
