NICU FAMILY SUPPORT

Community Services to LMI Individuals
NICU & Low-Income Families
National

The NICU family support program is available for families throughout the country and Puerto Rico. This program provides education and support for families with a baby in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The program offers the parents special materials and educational guides as they begin their parenting journey. The program also supports educational training for hospital staff at over 120 NICUs. As an extension of this program, March of Dimes also partners with community organizations to host baby showers focused on providing additional support and supplies for low-income women and military families.

GROUP PRENATAL CARE

Community Services to LMI Individuals
Low-Income Women
National

This program sustains group prenatal care across the United States targeted at low-income women and women of color in high-need communities. Group prenatal care is clinical care and prenatal education provided in a group setting to support women attending the sessions. Studies have shown that group prenatal care significantly decreases adverse birth outcomes. This program meets all clinical guidelines and is available nationally. Targeted states include Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Since the majority of participants are low-income, this program is an ideal opportunity for banks to receive positive CRA consideration.
