Mission Statement
AS AN ALLIANCE, WE MOBILIZE SUPPORT FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATIONS’ WORK TO CREATE STRONGER, HEALTHIER, AND MORE PROSPEROUS COMMUNITIES. WE BELIEVE THAT A STRONGER COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FIELD LEADS TO THRIVING COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE COUNTRY. LOCAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATIONS WORK IN LOW- AND MODERATE-INCOME COMMUNITIES TO DEVELOP AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND COMMERCIAL SPACE, SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, AND PROVIDE SOCIAL SERVICES.

Thriving Networks Program
We provide housing and community development associations with training, peer sharing, and technical assistance through our Thriving Networks Program. The program fills a crucial gap in the field by addressing the specific needs and challenges of associations. In 2023, we provided over 2,300 hours of direct service to our members. This includes one-on-one assistance from Alliance staff, trainings and peer-learning opportunities at our National Summit and Regional Caucuses, and presentations at Alliance members’ conferences and events.
