Clean School Bus Program
NCEF’s Clean School Bus Program is replacing over 25 diesel buses with zero-emission electric school buses across Nevada over the next three years. The program targets Title 1 and Tribal schools. This effort is supported by a $7.7 million federal award from EPA.

Residential Energy Upgrade Program (RE-UP)
RE-UP serves as Nevada’s one-stop-shop for residents of all income levels to access financial and technical assistance for energy efficiency and clean energy upgrades. RE-UP offers unsecured loans at affordable rates for a wide range of home clean energy measures. As part of RE-UP, NCEF vets licensed contractors and educates residents on consumer protections. NCEF also supports residents in accessing federal, state, and utility incentives. RE-UP targets a minimum of 60% low- and moderate-income (LMI) borrowers, and unlocks access to capital for these LMI households using ability to repay rather than credit score during underwriting.

Nevada Solar for All
NCEF will implement its $156 million Solar for All award from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to support solar programs that benefit low-income and disadvantaged households. NCEF is in the process of launching financing and technical assistance programs for solar for single-family homes, multifamily affordable housing, and community solar projects.

Tribal Clean Energy Program
NCEF provides financing and technical assistance to Nevada's Tribes to access home energy upgrades and community solar and energy storage projects. NCEF also provides targeted education to Nevada’s Tribes about federal clean energy funding opportunities, and, where appropriate, supports and partners with Tribes to apply for and implement funds. This includes helping Tribes access NCEF’s Solar for All programs, apply to the EPA Community Change Grants, and access Home Electrification Rebate formula grants.
