Mission Statement info

THE REGIONAL ACCELERATOR & INNOVATION NETWORK (OREGON RAIN) HELPS ADVANCE THE FORMATION OF LOCAL-IMPACT, INNOVATIVE STARTUP COMPANIES THAT GENERATE JOBS, WEALTH, AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE STATE OF OREGON. OREGON RAIN IS HELPING RURAL COMMUNITIES MOVE FROM "SMOKESTACK CHASING" TO "GROWING YOUR OWN." ONCE IN A COMMUNITY, OREGON RAIN TAKES A “SHUT UP AND LISTEN” APPROACH TO DEVELOPING COMMUNITY-INFORMED STRATEGIES AND PROGRAMMING THAT ADDRESS RESOURCE GAPS. OREGON RAIN'S RURAL ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT MODEL HELPS BUILD ENTREPRENEURIAL ECOSYSTEMS BY CONNECTING SYSTEMICALLY OVERLOOKED ENTREPRENEURS TO THE RESOURCES THEY NEED TO SUCCEED: PEOPLE (MENTORS AND TALENT), PROGRAMS (WORKSHOPS, MEETUPS, PUB TALKS, AND PITCH EVENTS), PHYSICAL ASSETS (SPACE AND EQUIPMENT), AND CAPITAL (GRANTS, CROWDFUNDING, LOANS, AND EQUITY).
