What does it mean for a nonprofit to be CRA aligned?
Each nonprofit on Community Qualifier has been reviewed by findCRA utilizing a dual evaluation process. Nonprofits are first evaluated by our proprietary algorithm, CRANIA, and then further validated by our CRA experts. When nonprofit passes both parts of this review, we create a nonprofit profile for them on Community Qualifier. From there, a nonprofit can claim their profile and add additional information including their programs & services, counties served, targeted clients and income groups and more.

Programs & Services info
Tool Lending Program
Our warehouse has 310+ tool types and 15,000+ individual units, with conventional "tools” like hammers & saws; equipment like portable AC units, generators, & residential dehumidifiers; events inventory such as folding tables + chairs, pop-up tents, projectors, & Wi-Fi hotspots; & even lawn games like cornhole & Giant Jenga. This inventory is available to charities, schools, scout troops, and other tax exempt organizations year-round for their work in the community & is designed to enhance program sustainability. We charge a borrowing fee of 3% of an order’s retail value per week (e.g. $100 of tools for 2 weeks costs $6) to ease our partners' financial burdens. This fee is waived for any disaster-related orders.

Neighborhood Tool Hub & Delivery Program
We have no geographic restrictions within Texas and established delivery services in 2021 that expand our Tool Lending Program’s geographic accessibility. Organizations that borrow can either come to our warehouse or visit one of our Neighborhood Tool Hub locations (two in Fort Bend, and one each in Galveston, Jefferson, Montgomery, and western Harris counties) to pick up tools. The Hubs, shipping containers retrofitted with secure locker spaces, act as remote drop-off and pick-up locations and are free to utilize. We also offer delivery directly to project sites for a fee.

Tool School Training Program
Tool School is conducted in partnership with local schools, workforce development programs, and more and equips participants with the knowledge and confidence to safely and properly wield hand and power tools in a hands-on learning environment. The program teaches practical skills while emphasizing the critical importance of safety and is open to pretty much anyone, most especially those confronted with barriers to education and employment opportunities. Since the program was launched in late 2023, we have trained 319 individuals ranging from 10-to 75-years-old.
