Resource Connection Centers
Trident United Way (TUW) addresses financial stability for economically disadvantaged households in the Charleston-North Charleston-Summerville Metro Area in SC through a network of Resource Connection Centers. These centers operate as "one-stop-centers," providing client-focused access to government, nonprofit and faith-based organizations, using a financial stability continuum to guide clients from crisis to thriving. Case managers assist with SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid applications, provide budgeting and saving education, and offer free tax preparation. They also address barriers to education and employment by providing childcare referrals, work equipment assistance, and transportation support.
