FREE HEALTHCARE

Community Services to LMI Individuals
Uninsured and Impoverished Individuals
South Florida

The UHI CommunityCare Clinic provides free healthcare services to nearly 600 low-income, uninsured individuals each month. UHI’s objective is to provide access to free healthcare for the vulnerable, impoverished, and underserved population in South Florida. Focusing on families at or below 200% of the poverty level and who do not qualify for Medicaid or medicare, UHI provides a wide range of medical services that would otherwise not be accessible to the individuals served. Without UHI, these uninsured residents’ only option would be turning to emergency rooms for non-emergent care, at a great cost to themselves and the healthcare system.

In addition, UHI recently began offering Optometry care once per week, including doctor visits, prescriptions for glasses, free glasses, and ophthalmologist check-ups.
