What does it mean for a nonprofit to be CRA aligned?
Each nonprofit on Community Qualifier has been reviewed by findCRA utilizing a dual evaluation process. Nonprofits are first evaluated by our proprietary algorithm, CRANIA, and then further validated by our CRA experts. When nonprofit passes both parts of this review, we create a nonprofit profile for them on Community Qualifier. From there, a nonprofit can claim their profile and add additional information including their programs & services, counties served, targeted clients and income groups and more.

Affordable Housing
Wellspring combines affordable housing with the support services needed to achieve stability following a period of homelessness, hospitalization, or incarceration for adults with mental illness. We believe individuals should be able to live independently in their home community with access to neighborhood amenities like grocery stores, parks, access to public transportation and medical care. Wellspring owns several Affordable Housing properties throughout Metro Louisville where adults with mental illness live and find their personal path to recovery.

Crisis Stabilization Units
Wellspring's CSUs assist adults who are experiencing an acute psychiatric episode. With our 24/7 care, we help people avoid hospitalization, achieve stabilization, and recover from acute mental health symptoms such as severe depression, mania, or psychosis. Clients receive intensive treatment, close monitoring with high levels of staff support, and medications prescribed by a psychiatrist, if necessary, in a homelike setting. The program is a licensed, accredited crisis stabilization offering the only services of their kind in the Louisville Metro region. The Crisis Stabilization Program is the only Wellspring program that does not require a serious mental illness diagnosis.
