Provide volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates for foster care youth
CASA of Yellowstone County provides courtroom and community advocacy for child victims of abuse or neglect in Yellowstone County who are placed in the temporary, or long-term legal custody of the State of Montana. Volunteer Advocates are appointed to represent a child or group of siblings in foster care and speak up for the children’s best interests. Volunteer Advocates are a consistent relationship for the children until they achieve safety and permanency. A volunteer Advocate is the only party involved on the case who is completely child-centered and advocates for their health, safety, educational needs, and permanency.
